Sarrita King, born in Adelaide in 1988, is an Australian Aboriginal artist of Gurindji heritage from the Northern Territory. She grew up in Darwin, where she developed a strong connection to her Aboriginality and the land. Sarrita's artwork is inspired by experiences of extreme weather and the primal landscape, reflecting the earth's language through her personal visual articulation. She incorporates traditional Aboriginal techniques and iconography, as well as unorthodox techniques inherited from her father and developed through her own practice.
