    Seraphin Denecheau was born in 1831, in France. Seraphin studied under Rude and Jean-Pierre David (David D'Angers). On a regular basis from 1859, he exhibited at the Paris Salon. Seraphin's "Femme carréssant une chimère" was noted at the Paris 1867 Exposition Universelle. An artist of portraits, mythological and allegorical groups, Seraphin had numerous commissions from the French State, the Musée du Louvre, the Opéra de Paris, the Gare du Nord, and a number of Parisian churches. Seraphin Denecheau died in 1912, in France....
