Silvio Loffredo was born in Montparnasse in 1920 by Italian parents. His father was painter and was he who introduced young Silvio to art. At the end of the war, Loffredo graduated from the art institute of Siena. In Italy, where he would reside until his death, he meets Ottone Rosai and studies with Primo Conti, Ugo Capocchini and Celestino Celestini.


Throughout his career, Loffredo participates in several exhibitions, including a solo exhibition at the XXXII Venice International Art Exhibition as well as numerous editions of the Rome Quadriennale.
