Born in Lugang, Taiwan, Wang So-Ying graduated from the Art Department of National Taiwan Normal University. He was awarded the first prize at National Teacher Art Exhibition. Wang held his solo exhibition at Taiwan National Museum of History in 1984 and at Galerie Moustache, Osaka, Japan, in 1992. With his characteristic of sloppy-style stroke, he created an ultimate romantic and exotic sensation.
