Born in Anhui, China, and graduated from the Stage Art Department of Shanghai Drama Institute. Xue Song currently lives and works in Shanghai as a professional painter.
His calligraphic works and figurative paintings are characterized by a bold and energetic style. Xue's trademark collages represent the many different aspects of Chinese culture; for example, he incorporates traditional Chinese paintings, calligraphy, religious icons, legendary figures and historical photographs.
