Romanian painter and illustrator (born 1946 in Câmpulung), studied from 1964 - 1970 at the Bucharest Academy for Corneliu Baba. Sorin was an assistant to Liviu Lazarescu, and from 1971 was member of the Romanian Union of Artists. In 1972 Sorin took a study trip to Moscow, Kiev, Riga and Leningrad (St. Petersburg), and from 1970 - 80 was active in Pitesk. 1980 Sorin wa in Bucharest, and in 1983 [Pite ti] to 1984 was in the summer at Malaufenthalte the monastery Cheia. From 1985 Ilfoveanu had a summer house and from 1991 in his own home in Rade ti, and from 1992 - 96 was the Head of painting at the Academy of Arts Bucharest.
