    Stanislaw Kaczor-Batowski was born in Lviv Poland in 1866. In the years 1883-1885 he studied at the SSP in Krakow with W. Luszczkiewicz and F. Cynek. Kaczor-Batowski continued his studies in the years 1885-1887 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna with C. Griepenkerrkel and S. L Allemand, and in the years 1887-1889 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich with A. Liezen-Mayer.

    Stanislaw Kaczor-Batowski traveled to Paris, Italy, Spain, Morocco, the Crimea and the USA. In the years 1903-1914 he had his own painting school in Lviv. The subjects of Kaczor-Batowski's works were mainly battle scenes, landscapes, portraits and historical scenes.
