    Painter, draftsman and caricaturist. A leading representative of the Warsaw artistic community. He attended the Krakow School of Fine Arts in 1877-79, where he studied at Feliks Szynalewski's studio. and Izydor Jablonski and in the Warsaw Drawing Class. He continued his studies at the Munich Academy and the Academie Julian in Paris.

    He made his debut in 1881 at the Aleksander Krywult Salon in Warsaw with genre paintings. He was recognized and successful for his portraits (including a gold medal at the 1911 Paris Salon), often inspired by the art of Frans Hals. The models of Lentz's realistic portraits were representatives of the Warsaw intelligentsia and representatives of the great financiers, bourgeoisie and aristocracy. He also c...
