    Stanislaw Sikora was born in 1911 in Stryszawa. He received artistic training at the National School of Wood Industry in Zakopane. In Warsaw, where he worked for the rest of his life, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts. Medallic art was an important area of Sikora's activity. Apart from wood, the favorite materials were marble, bronze, granite and ceramics. Stanislaw Sikora works have been exhibited and awarded many times in Poland and abroad. The artist won, among others first prize and gold medal in the prestigious international competition in Arezzo in 1965, Grand Prix at the International Exhibition of Painting and Sculpture for the Grand Prize of Prince Rainer III in Monte Carlo.
