Steve Allrich is a graduate of the American Academy of Art in Chicago, where he studied with artist Eugene Hall, painting figures and portraits directly from life, as well as landscapes on location.

Plein air painting quickly became Steve’s passion, and the focus of his work. Painting outdoors, Steve strives to capture a feeling of light and a sense of place while maintaining a fresh and spontaneous approach. These location pieces are also often used as inspiration for larger studio works.

From The Copley Society of Boston to Canyon Road in Santa Fe, Steve has exhibited his work in solo shows as well as invitational and juried exhibitions, and won dozens of awards.
