    Educated at art school in Copenhagen 1906, Sven Brasch attended art schools in Germany from 1906-1908 and in Paris from 1909-1914. Brasch started his career as a cartoonist for both foreign and Danish newspapers. He later worked on poster designs for fashions shows and Exhibitions.

    Brasch is especially known for his lean and slender females and his designs were an important influence to Early Art deco in European graphical art. Brasch was himself strongly influenced from early French poster designs from World War One and a great admirer of the English Beggarstaff Brothers.
