  • Biography

Sylvia Ordonez began her artistic training at home, in a self-taught way, moving from geometric abstractionism to abstract expressionism. She eventually matured her style and achieved her first exhibition in 1977 and a year later she won fifth place at the Biennial of Young Painters convened by the INBA. Later Silvia exhibited a retrospective of her work at the MARCO, being the first regal to exhibit at the most important museum in the city. "Her work speaks for itself.
