    Tadeusz Lodziana was born in 1920. In the years from 1937-1939 and from 1941-1942 the artist studied at the Institute of Fine Arts in Lvov. After the war, he continued his studies at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Sopot. In 1949-50 Lodziana worked there as an assistant. In 1954 he graduated from the Faculty of Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw and began working at the university. From 1966-69, and from 1972 to 1978 he was Dean of the Faculty of Sculpture. In the years 1968-1972 he served as vice-rector. In 1989 Lodziana received the title of professor.
