    Huxley-Jones studied at the Wolverhampton School of Art under Robert Jackson Emerson, and then at the Royal College of Art where he was also later a tutor. He was married to the sculptor Gwyneth Holt. For many years he was principal of the School of Sculpture at Grays School of Art in Aberdeen, and tutor at Mid Essex Technical College and School of Art in Chelmsford.

    An internationally renowned sculptor, he exhibited with the Royal Academy, the New English Art Club, and the Royal Scottish Academy amongst others. Huxley-Jones was elected a fellow of the Royal Society of British Sculptors in 1945 and received numerous awards for his work including the Prix de Rome Scholarship.
