    Thomas Garland Greene

    Thomas G. Greene (1875-1955) was a Toronto artist who specialized in landscapes and engraving. He trained with the Toronto Engraving Company for seven years and was mentored by British painter, William Cruikshank.

    Green was a founding member of the Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolour, and the Canadian Society of Graphic Art (formally the Graphic Arts Club), and was also a member at a number of other active arts organizations including the Royal Canadian Academy (RCA) and the Ontario Society of Artists (OSA).

    A collection of his drawings and archives is in the permanent collection of the National Gallery of Canada, in Ottawa.
