    Thomas Harrison Wilkinson OSA (1847 – 1929)

    A Canadian painter, Thomas Harrison Wilkinson (usually signs: T.H. Wilkinson) was born in Bradford, Yorkshire, England. He immigrated to London, Ontario in 1863, lived in Toronto from 1882 to 1909, and died in Hamilton, Ontario, where he had lived since 1909. He was a member of the Ontario Society of Artists* and exhibited with the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts*. His works are in several Canadian museums including the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts.

    His primary medium was watercolors although he also painted in oils. His best known subjects are landscapes, marine scenes, rural scenes, rivers, mountains and streetscapes; many include small figures of people or animals. The locations in...
