    Victor Cicansky CM, B.ED, BA, MFA (1935)

    A distinguished Canadian sculptor, printmaker and educator, Professor Emeritus Victor Cicansky was born in Regina, Saskatchewan where he still lives and works. His mediums include glazed clay, terra cotta*, bronze, stencil, serigraph* and mixed mediums. His subjects are portraits, figures, still life, farm life, flowers, gardens, social commentary and humor. AskART has some excellent illustrations of his oeuvre. Attached below is a biography courtesy of the University of Regina and below it the citation presented when Cicansky was awarded the Order of Canada (CM) one of his county's highest honors.
