About Vittorio Sopracase

    Born in 1942 in Istria, Croatia at the head of the Adriatic Sea and escaping with his family during the Second World War to a small town on the Northern coast of Italy, Vittorio Sopracase went on to study at the Arts Academy in Carrara, Tuscany.

    Following his graduation, he exhibited internationally and took part in over 500 exhibitions throughout his career, including the Parisian Salons.

    He became well known for continuously experimenting with different materials, styles and techniques. His works are notably held in the collections of the Guggenheim Museum, New York and among numerous private collections worldwide.
