    Wilfried Reckewitz (born August 29, 1925 in Barmen; † February 13, 1991 in Wuppertal-Barmen) was a German painter, graphic artist and glass artist.

    In 1942, Reckewitz attended the master school for the creative handicraft in Wuppertal-Barmen and in 1945 studied at the State Art Academy in Düsseldorf with Professors Werner Heuser, Ewald Mataré, Otto Pankok and Otto Coester. His first exhibition with the name “Young Harvest” took place in 1946 in the Kunsthalle Düsseldorf.

    On November 15, 1949 he joined the Ring Bergischer Künstler (RBK) founded in 1946. In 1951 he received the Dr. Ludwig Lindner Prize for painting from the RBK group, he married in 1957. From the late 1950s onwards, he mainly devoted his work to glass art; his ...
