    Wilhelm Carl August Zimmer was born in 1853. He was a landscape and genre painter.

    From 1871 to 1878, he studied at the Academy Weimar with Theodor Hagen and Stanislaus Graf von Kalckreuth. He initially worked in Weimar, with a professor of genre painting at the Weimar Academy, Malaufenthalte auf Rügen.

    From 1893 to 1903, the artist was in Eisenach. In 1907, he was in Königsfeld in Baden. In 1910, the artist was in Buchholz Friedewald, and since 1918 in Reichenberg, among others.

    From 1883 to 1985, the artist was in Dresden, charged with exhibitions at the Berlin Academy from 1874 to 1892. In 1910, the artist participated in the Great Berlin Art exhibition.
