He has watched them for hours at a time and over the years has made virtually all types of drawings and bronze sculptures of them. His daughter, Mrs. Eugene Roberts, says: "When we can't find dad at his studio we look along the beach. And we invariably find him glued to his binoculars, studying the gulls. Gosh, he never seems to tire of watching them.". Studying gulls all this time may seem a great waste of energy and hours but for Boogar it has paid off.
