    Willie Watt Milne was a renowned Scottish landscape painter, who painted primarily in the area of the Great Ouse around Holywell including the villages of Hemingford Abbots, Hemingford Grey, Houghton and Wyton (now joined) and the town of St Ives.

    Milne was born in 1865 in Cambuskenneth, near Stirling, Scotland. Early in his career he exhibited at the 1978 show, 'The Artists of Craigmill and Cambuskenneth' at the Smith Art Gallery, later exhibiting at the Glasgow Institute of Fine Arts and the Royal Scottish Academy. His work can be found in major museums internationally as well as locally in the Norris Museum, St Ives.
