Wladyslaw Jarocki. Mystical Hutsul region Wladyslaw Jarocki, right next to painters such as Teodor Axentowicz and Kazimierz Sichulski, belongs to the group of the most outstanding illustrators of the Hutsul region.


This region, located in the Eastern Carpathians, was of particular interest to Young Poland artists. The Hutsul region, next to the villages near Krakow and Podhale, has become a picturesque setting for all peasant lovers at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. It inspired the creators also later. They returned to this area in the interwar period.
