    Yvonne Kanayuq Arnakyuinak (1920 – 1998)
    An Inuit* Canadian sculptor and carver, Yvonne Kanayuq Arnakyuinak (disc number* E2-241) was born in Baker Lake (aka: Qamani'tuaq), Nunavut (then an area called the District of Keewatin in the Northwest Territories) lived her whole life there and died there. Her sculptures and carvings have been featured in many exhibitions and examples of her work are in the permanent collections of several important museums including the National Museum of the American Indian – Smithsonian Institution (Washington D.C.), and the National Gallery of Canada (Ottawa).
