Song Zhengyin , a native of Wu Xi, Jiang Su Province. Song graduated from Art Dept of Nipon University, Tokyo in Sept, 1944. He was professor in Shanghai Art Academy and Suzhou Art Academy (Shanghai Branch), professor and dept dean of Nation An Hui University and professor of the Art Dept of Nanjing Normal University. In 1980, he became director for the Chinese Science Popularization Writers' Committee, as well as becoming board chairman for its Jiang Su branch. In his later years, he took the position of postgraduate instructor in Western Art History at Nanjing Normal University.
