Sun Zongwei (1912-1979) Born in Changshu County of Jiangsu Province. In 1934 after entrance examination, he was accepted by Art Faculty of China Central University. Later in 1938 he graduated from this university and since then worked as a teacher there. In that period after the war between China and Japan broke out, he always took an active part in some movement against Japanese imperialism, for example he joined the "Painting Team from Art Faculty of China Central University in Battleground" and propagandize revolutionary thought against the aggression of Japanese imperialism.
