Born in Welland and raised in Sarnia, Ontario, he became a fine art painter of large-scale work with subjects relating to American myths and history including Indian battles and cavalry such as Wounded Knee. He took his art training at the Ontario College of Art, the Edinburgh School in Scotland, and the Slade School in London. He also did illustration for "McCalls," "The Ladies Home Journal," "Redbook," "Time," and "National Geographic" as well as large corporations including Exxon and American Express....
