After working for the Red Cross as a nurse's aide in the psychiatric ward at Massachusetts General during World War II, she decided to change her course of study to art. The artist married James Truitt and while raising her children she continued to pursue her art. She published a translation of Germaine Bree's "Marcel Proust and Deliverance from Time" in 1955....
