Bue Jack Kee, Chinese American, was born in Portland, Oregon in 1893. He was hearing impaired and did not make it past grade school. He lived on a farm outside of Portland named Aurora. He attended the Museum School of Art in Portland and was awarded the 1st Carey Award in 1929. He was involved as a ceramic artist in the... Read full biography

Bue Jack Kee, Chinese American, was born in Portland, Oregon in 1893. He was hearing impaired and did not make it past grade school. He lived on a farm outside of Portland named Aurora. He was involved as a ceramic artist in the Federal Art Project part of the WPA at Timberline Lodge at Mt Hood and Tongue Naval base. He worked in oil, watercolor, pastel, ceramics and photography.
