He later instructed at the Croydon School of Arts and Crafts; The Borough Polytechnic; and the High Wycome School of Art. He arrived in Canada in 1935 to teach at the Provincial Institute of Technology and Art in Calgary (now the Alberta College of Art and Design). In 1946 he began the Art Department at the University of Alberta (UofA) in Edmonton.
