Olson was a member of the American Watercolor Society and exhibited at the Whitney Museum of American Art, Art Institute of Chicago, and American Watercolor Society. He also participated in two annuals of the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and two Corcoran Gallery of Art Biennials.
