Boyle was tutored in the fundamentals of drawing and painting at a very young age by regionally known artist Carl Christophersen. In High school he won first place in the state wide "Superintendents Art Show." . Mark completed studies in design and illustration at the Burnley School of Art in Seattle WA in 1982. After graduation, Design Firms hired him to create graphics from T-shirts and menu design to corporate identity and Boeing jumbo jet exterior markings.
