Fisher went to Paris as a young man of twenty to study with academic artist, Charles Gleyre. In France, he was influenced by Monet and the other artists who would later be known as Impressionists. Fisher went to Paris as a young man of twenty to study with academic artist, Charles Gleyre. In France, he was influenced by Monet and the other artists who would later be known as Impressionists.
