Rene Gagnon (born 1928) (1). A prominent Quebec painter and draftsman, Rene Gagnon was born in Chicoutimi, Quebec and lives in l'Anse-de-Roche, Quebec (about 150 miles north east of Quebec City). His works are in several museums including the Montreal Museum of Contemporary Art. His primary medium is oil paint applied with a palette knife*.
