He grew up in a large family in Washington state where his father worked for Boeing industries and encouraged creativity in his children. Ross began his own artwork in high school, carving birds in wood. He attended Evergreen State in Olympia, Washington where he earned a degree in mass media, and after several jobs that he did not find fulfilling, began sculpting professionally. He settled in...
