Favorite colors have been Fauve reds, blues, purples and greens. Often figures appear in the landscape. He grew up in Berkeley, California, and has maintained a studio in Oakland for many years. In the mid 1970s, he became a plein-air painter, going on many excursions with Lundy Siegriest, a noted Bay Area artist of the California out-of-doors movement... Read full biography

In the mid 1970s, he became a plein-air painter, going on many excursions with Lundy Siegriest, a noted Bay Area artist of the California out-of-doors movement of the 1920s and 30s. From Siegriest, he adopted the dictum, "keep it simple.". He has worked on site at the Berkeley marina, in the Napa Valley, and on Mount Diablo. Source:.
