He went to Paris in 1930 to study drawing, and then studied at the Albert Laurens and Andre Lhote studios. After his return to Turkey he worked at various secondary schools as a drawing tutor. He held exhibitions in Turkey and also in Madrid, Paris and Venice. He took "Honour Prize" at the San Paolo Biennial in 1963 and won "Great prize" of the shah of Iran in 1966 in Tehran. He... He died in 1974. Works by the artist are to be found in both private and public collections.
