His work is characterised by the rich and wide variety of plastic and intellectual resources used, from allegorical reinvention to apparently indeterminate and unconnected figuration, which generates a necessary visual and intellectual exercise on the part of the spectator. He began his career in the 1980s, and in 1994 he won a scholarship for artistic promotion from the Casa de Velázquez. In his canvases there are references to great masters such as Duchamp, Picasso, Mondrian or Philip Guston, using a special subjectivity in the treatment of colour.
