He was born in Perth, Scotland and died in Montreal (Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue), Quebec, Canada where he had lived since 1915. He had first emigrated to Brandon, Manitoba in about 1911 and also lived in Calgary, Alberta before moving to Montreal. (1).
