In 1886, the same year that he performed in the light of the evening lamp, he also spent some time in the Swedish artist colony in Grez, a stay which, among other things, resulted in the gumma engraving in glasses, Grez (National Museum). The high level that his artistry had achieved at this time is also exemplified by the purchase of the oil painting Julottan that year by the Minneapolis Museum.... Read full biography

In 1886, the same year that he performed in the light of the evening lamp, he also spent some time in the Swedish artist colony in Grez, a stay which, among other things, resulted in the gumma engraving in glasses, Grez (National Museum). The high level that his artistry had achieved at this time is also exemplified by the purchase of the oil painting Julottan that year by the Minneapolis Museum. In 1889 he got his oil painting A funny show of honor at the Salon and for the pastel Tiggargubbe he received an extra 1st prize at the World Exhibition.
