She studied briefly at the Art Institute of Chicago and worked in Chicago as a furniture decorator until 1928. She continued this line of work in Los Angeles until 1932 when she moved to San Francisco. Under the auspices of the WPA, she was an assistant to Hilaire Hiler on the murals in the Maritime Museum. She also assisted muralists Diego Rivera and Miguel Covarrubias in painting... Read full biography
