Annette Schroter is a German painter who studied at the Academy of Visual Arts in Leipzig with B. Heisig from 1977-82. She worked in Hamburg from 1985-97 and held various teaching positions there. In 1997, she settled in Leipzig and continued to teach in Hamburg, at Burg Giebichenstein in Halle, and in Dresden. Since 2006, she has been a professor at the Academy of Visual Arts in Leipzig.
