He is renowned for his youth publications, including his character Tintin Lutin, created in 1898, as well as his "laughing cow" and his character of the duck Gédéon. Rabier's round and dynamic line is characteristic of one of the greatest European designers of the time, supported in his early days by Caran d'Ache and much admired by Hergé. He was published very regularly in the periodicals "Le Rire" and "Le jumble", "The butter plate", "Le Chat Noir". Rabier died in Paris, France in 1939.
