He earned a BS Degree in 1958 from San Diego State University and also attended Arizona State University and Scripps in California. Commissions include champion show dogs, Indian pow-wow dancers and portraits. He earned a BS Degree in 1958 from San Diego State University and also attended Arizona State University and Scripps in California. Commissions include champion show dogs, Indian pow-wow dancers and portraits. He has exhibited at the Sculpture in the Park shows at Loveland Colorado from 1987 to 1997 and the Mountain Oyster show in Tucson, Arizona. Girard has also been a teacher at Loveland Art Academy.
