Hardorff and was pupil of Christian Ruben in Prague and of Joseph Lawrence Dyckmans in Antwerp. From 1852 onwards, he worked in Dusseldorf. Schlesinger’s works can be seen i.a. at the Kunsthalle Hamburg, Mueseo Revoltella Trieste and at the gallery of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. (nlu)
