Born in Queenstown (now Cobh) County Cork, Charles Grierson studied at the Crawford School of Art and later at the Westminster School in London. In England in 1892, he became a member of the Royal Institute and exhibited over 80 works with them over the following years. In the late 1890s Grierson returned to Ireland, meeting his future wife in County Sligo. His works are thus found in several private collections around Sligo as well as in the Art Gallery of South Australia, Adelaide. In his own... Read full biography
