Exploring the dramatic and varied landscape of this community by the ocean in his youth would kindle a life long love of the natural world that would inspire Clayton’s direction as a fine artist later in life. Between 1984 and 1988 Anderson earned a degree in Visual Communications at the Alberta College of Art & Design. After a brief stint in the advertising art department of Western Living and Vancouver magazines Anderson turned to fine art painting exclusively in 1991.
