In 1927, after a long contact with Torres-Garcia, Ernest Engel-Pak came in stages to abstraction. He participated, from the liberation to group exhibitions in Paris, as well as to the Salon Des Realités Nouvelles. From 1931, he joined the group Abstraction-creation. He exhibited with Arp, Delaunay and Mondrian. His work consists of abstract landscapes in which, using all the possibilities of color, he sought to define the variations of light.
