He collaborated with Grandville (aka Jean Ignace Isidore Gérard, 1803-1847). Forest exhibited at the Paris Salon from 1847 to 1866. As an engraver, we owe him a number of albums, including caricatures in the genre Henri Monnier and Grandville.
