Franc P. Martin was born in Anstruther, in 1883. From 1919 to 1920, Franc P. Martin studied at the Glasgow School of Art under David Forrester Wilson. Martin was a painter of landscapes, genre subjects and still life in oil and watercolour. Martin frequently exhibited at the Royal Glasgow Institute, Royal Scottish Academy and Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool.
